Flexion Distraction (Cox technique)
Flexion-distraction is a gentle, non-thrust technique performed on a segmented table that moves to allow controlled flexion, traction, and side-bending of the spine. It is especially effective for lumbar disc herniations, stenosis, facet syndromes, and radiculopathy. The distraction reduces spinal pressure, improves disc hydration, and increases mobility of restricted segments while minimizing stress on inflamed tissues.
