Lasting Postural Improvements

Our posture is how we physically carry ourselves. As such, it can impact our mobility. It can affect how we walk, play sports, generally move, and if we don’t have proper posture, we can feel a negative impact in the form of pain and discomfort. It can also impact our growth and development!

As we age, poor posture can create numerous problems for our health. Our nervous system runs through our spine. Any misalignment of the spine interrupts our nervous system's ability to function. As we age, our posture changes, and we can develop a more curved spine. This is typically associated with neck and back pain. In a study, 66 elderly patients were placed under chiropractic care or a standard exercise-based correction group for 18 weeks. The second group typically used stretching exercises in their care.

While both groups showed improvements at six weeks, the 3-month follow-up showed the group under chiropractic care had more advanced improvements and maintained their results. Regarding our health, we deserve the best, and chiropractic care helps us get there! When we correct the underlying issue at the source, in this case, a misaligned spine, we see actual results!
